Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
So to be 100% sure: You're in that folder. The mouse cursor is not over any file at all. CTRL+A => XY "freezes" for about 25 seconds? Correct, tried again with cursor on other monitor and same thing and yes, XY freezes with CTRL+A. Also, tried on another directory that is about 900gb in s...

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
I said in an earlier post that when I Ctrl A all files that is was instant. Its the blue highlighting of the files in the list after Ctrl A that made it appear to look instant but I guess that not the case anymore.

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Mouse | [x] Point to select Uncheck this, try it again... Tried this and still same issue. So to be even more exact after reading your response here and to correct myself from earlier comments once again, its the moment I Ctrl A to select all the ...

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
I want to amend something I said earlier as I just noticed something. This seems to be only with files and not folders. I just copied the entire single folder with all the 700gb of files in it to another folder and had no issues. Did not have to split it. It was instant.

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
1932 files in original folder. Right click is/was done in a blank area to the right side of the pane where there are no columns so no, not above file name. Selection of smaller file quantities via left mouse button held down and drag to select files in the same single folder with all the files has n...

Page turners on PDF thumbnails without opening document
Hi again, Not sure if this is a wish or if it can already be done in another way in XY but is there anyway to have page turners on the thumbnails of PDF documents that can be clicked to page through without opening the PDF or maybe with MDBU, right mouse button held down, then mouse scroll wheel to ...

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
When you say: "Attach the XYplorer.ini (renamed to .xys)..."
Do you mean renamed like this XYplorer.xys?

Re: XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
highend, thanks for your response. My first post here in this thread may have been a bit of a knee jerk reaction and I seemed to have found a solution that works for me. To be more exact on the first post, selecting a list of large files of about 700gb in a single folder at the root of an external U...

XY freezes with large file copy but is okay with fresh instance
Please assist... When I try to move a large batch of files that are about 600gb to another folder(s) on the same drive, XY starts to hang/freeze with my current configuration. With a fresh instance, its work fine. I experimented with the background processing and still nothing. Matched the settings ...

Re: XY won't start after reboot
Yes, you're right. The final time I edited that TagDatCustom= was not with XY open. It's working perfect now.
Thanks for all the assistance on this.

Re: XY won't start after reboot
Okay, that's odd. As I mentioned before, I deleted that drive F: path and left it empty just as you had suggested and I even did a screen recording of myself doing that, which I just reviewed again right now, and XY in my recording did not start. Possibly what I did wrong was navigate to that XYplor...

Re: XY won't start after reboot
What should the path be? I'm just going by what is working right now.
