1) Chm. idh_glider.htm
Select how many buttons to display per row. Tip: Select "1" to have a vertical slider.
may be slider=glider?

2) I recently discovered that the configuration dialog has a Ctrl+right click mouse trick for copying multiple variations of a setting name.
I think this feature is not reflected in the help or at least not shown in idh_short.htm

3) Wish: I would like to be able to copy also the key in the XYplorer.ini file, which is responsible for the customization item.

The thing is that when I change configuration settings, then XY instantly processes them in virtual memory and allows me to see them after clicking button Apply.
Logic suggests that if I change the setting and then return it to its previous value, XY can output that previous value for copying.

I knew you'd say that. But I'm not giving up hope.

So I made text file that basically allows me to compare Settings of two configurations using 'Araxis merge' (where you can put a filter ¦.*$) and the comparison does not take into account notes that specify where the setting is located.

You rarely change the names of the keys and their order in the ini file. So for a while, even this file will work when comparing subsequent versions.

I hope that someday something like this will become possible.

For a long time I have observed a significant slowdown in performance XY on my computer.
Finally found it by accident - it's the TagsAutoRefresh (Auto-refresh tags) key.

Of course, thinking logically, I can understand why the slowdown occurs, but it is difficult to guess it immediately without thinking.

Therefore, I propose to make a comment about this in the help.

Wouldn't you rather post this in the "Wishes" section?

No, it's clearly not a wish, it's a friendly hint that relates to the CHM file I'm translating.
As far as the program is concerned, everything is done here: there is a hint to the item in the configuration and I can put a caveat there myself.
The author's opinion is important to me.

1. "significant slowdown" ... I don't see that here. What is slowed down?
2. This setting is ONLY useful in a multi-user context within a corporate network. I think the help makes this clear.

It's a weird slowdown in displaying the contents of the file-pane to two seconds when you first click on a folder in the tree.

After the first click, the slowdown disappears and then reappears on some other folders for which the tree click was not the first. And the slowdown visible to the eye does not occur on all folders.

I was very glad I "found" the reason for this, but the interesting thing is that in a fresh installation there is no delay at all!
I.e. there must be something else for this delay to occur.

Let's consider that I just reported to you that in certain (not revealed to the end) circumstances , thoughtless checking of the checkbox can lead to an unpleasant effect.

It is a 1836 (610 Orphans)
after deleting Orphans there seems to be no delay.
but defect is weird and there is no certainty that exactly the right amount of time has passed for it to reappear.

My tags are all color coded tags (Labels). And as far as I noticed the delay in displaying a folder does not depend on the presence of color labels in that folder.
So if you artificially make a few thousand Orphans anywhere perhaps you will see it for yourself.
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how long I have not to use XYplorer before the delay starts to show up again.

Perhaps the delay is additionally due to the fact that I have a Label column in a default folder view settings, and the way it is displayed is TagStyle=4

idh_mentools.htm

in string: Adjust the file list to your preferences: Show Icons .. Show Folder Sizes.
missing Show Folder Row Colors, Size Column Format (Submenu), Date Column Format (Submenu)

in string: Adjust the folder tree to your preferences: Show Icons .. Show Section Colors.
missing Show Glider

and below missing description for Show Glider
------------
idh_settings.htm
You have 2 strings:
Note: When the File Info Tips and the Hover Box compete for the same place, the Hover Box always wins.

But there is not written that in this case there is always a possibility to see File Info Tips:
(and to see File Info Tips, in this case hover your mouse while holding Ctrl+Shift)

Ctrl+Shift instead of just Ctrl is guaranteed to output File Info Tips in the case of ticks "Only while the shift key is held down"
