Re: At Max Memory
"Another limitation"? Not sure what you mean.
Anyway, try to list a million files in File Explorer.

Merry Xmas Don. I may be mistaken but do I detect a glimmer of humor that differs from the common (some may say most common) tone or attitude that information is delivered/exchanged here?
The word lugubrious comes to mind. For those of you in your 2nd or 3rd language enjoy the definition:
Merriam-Webster
https://www.merriam-webster.com › dictionary › lugu...
Jul 15, 2023 — especially : exaggeratedly or affectedly (see affected entry 2 sense 1a) mournful. dark, dramatic and lugubrious brooding V. S. Pritchett.
I was at the root of all files on a disc–like D: + Branch View when I had to stop the scan intended to update everything for other businesses.
When I restarted the process it found 1.1+ million files and ran with that after XY warning. FYI and please keep in mind that not everyone has dedicated their lives to M$, XY, or coding.
Is there a limitation on cache so after running say several millions throught it has become a wasted effort? I am not aware of any background processing that XY is doing. Since more than 60% of disc storage is dedicated to backup – is there a simple way to exclude those discs from the processes such as rapid searches or what have you?

Re: At Max Memory
There is always a physical limit at some point. An error message is just information. The application has not crashed, but it has informed you that it has reached a limit. I don't see how I can improve anything here.
