Hello; Add excel to favorites; How can we make it work when we click directly on it? thanks

A bit more info needed I think.

Let me explain it this way. I add Excel file to favorites. When I click on this file, the folder it is in opens, but the file itself does not open directly. In other words, if I have added Word or Excel to my favorites, I want them to open directly, not the folder they are in, when I click on them.
