I turned on the power saving option "turn off hard disk" which let the external disks sleep if not used for a while.
When I clicked a tab of a sleeping disk's folder, XY will be unresponding for a few seconds(can be more than 10 seconds depending on the disk) to wait for the disk to be available.
But sometimes I just mis-clicked the tab, or I just want to close a tab, or I want to do something else in other tabs while waiting for the disk to wake up.
I wish there be a tip tells that the disk is opening, and I can do other operations meanwhile.
PS: position of disk sleep configuration (Windows11)
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Hard disk -> Turn off hard disk after
