XYP is the best

Post by mwoffenden »

XYP is a brilliant file explorer that we've been using for many years.

Love the new, bold logo that was recently introduced! Bonus: Easy to find XY in the Windows task bar.

We like that XYP is kept up to date.

For a product that's become loaded with cool features over the years, the UI has remained reasonably useful.

If there was a MAC version we'd be in heaven.

Sorry, couldn't resist (see here).

Otherwise, you're completely right. Unfortunately XY ist "bound" to Windows, and Windows is .... but that's another story.

Tip for v23.70.0201 and later:

Code: Select all

appicon "ABA"; //load the new, bold logo
:)

And thanks for the kind words! :D

Be kind, new user on the forum.
Currently freaking out,
I have used XYPlorer for 3-4 years now.. Love it!

I use it for my collection of 600,000 images

Occasionally I click something in XYPlorer (by accident)
and have no idea how to get back

Reason: I once named an image in Picasa, and it renamed evrey file in the folder
I don't want that to happen in XY

So I have these little blank squares in the top left hand corner of every image
How may I remove, or deselect this?
What did I click? and what does it mean?

Thanks a bunch.
Rod

Maybe Tools/Customize List/Checkbox Selection?
Ralph :)

Is there not a setting to turn on the new logo (and keep it turned on)? For some reason I saw the new logo, then a later update reverted me back to the old one.

Any why does the taskbar retain the old logo?

There are several threads discussing the logo so please refer to those.

Yay! Ralph, you're the man.
Very much appreciated, was waiting all day biting the fingernails
I thought I would get an email, (thought I subscribed)

The thought of losing 400,000 images renamed didn't bear thinking about
Happy New year

My question is for @admin. It seems quite plain that a new logo should be the default, there should be a setting to disable it (not essential), and that the taskbar logo should match.

The old logo is the new logo. That new logo period was just a short moment that's over now.
