Hello
One use of a file explorer is to maintain a list of working directory paths, as some software developers require their projects to be on multiple parts of a storage disk.
To facilitate access to the different directories and that they are within the same context, I suggest the following
a: On Windows, the taskbar is at the bottom. when switching to the xyplorer application, the taskbar would have a more useful location if it were at the bottom (optional setting), which reduces vertical movement of the mouse pointer in the screen window.
b: add to the left side of the directory path bar, shortcut icons like:
icon for recent directories, icon for copy/paste path, navigation icons.
c: Live filter box with the possibility to place it on the left side, to reduce the horizontal movement distances of the mouse pointer.
d: Since the address bar is linear, i.e. it doesn't show popup menus, put at the end a list in parentheses of the contents of the subdirectories of the current directory, this reduces the number of clicks and increases the search for content
