Do you like the new application icon?
Re: Do you like the new application icon?
It is as bad as Windows 11, too big and just not classy.

No! New icon is so ugly!

No, don't like the new one at all it's awful.
The traditional one is cool, smooth, stands out and truly iconic

Not a fan. I think if a more "modern" look was required, a "flat" variation of the old icon would have been better. The orange-white-black is just too iconic.
I keep finding myself getting lost looking for the icon in the taskbar and browser tabs.
But then, it is just an icon afterall.

Re: Do you like the new application icon?
I didn't, to begin with. But I figured that I'd just got used to the old icon and the new one didn't feel right just because it was different.
The new icon is more noticeable in my relatively busy notification area than the old one was. It's perhaps not quite as aesthetically pleasing as the old one was but it's functionally better -- for me, anyway -- so I'm keeping it.
(Although I have the old icon as the icon for my default Session Manager layout so I haven't waved goodbye to it completely!)

No I don't. I think it actually looks quite out-dated, like something you'd have seen 10 or 15 years ago. I haven't gone out of my way to change back to the old one, though. I knew my brain would get used to seeing the new one sooner or later. And it has. Don't like ti any ore than I did before but at least it doesn't seem so 'foreign' to me now. Don must have been really determined that that was what he wanted it to be considering he went ahead with the change in spite of so much opposition to it from users.

Re: Do you like the new application icon?
No, but it was useful to me because the old icon is chromatically similar to that of another app I use often (MusicBee) and I kept confusing them.
Now we're back to that scenario, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Do you like the new application icon?
Well it is optional still, so you can change back, and the "new" icons are included in the exe still if you need to manually change them in the startmenu/taskbar/desktop.elbitjusticiero wrote: ↑23 Dec 2022 19:18 No, but it was useful to me because the old icon is chromatically similar to that of another app I use often (MusicBee) and I kept confusing them.
