XYplorer feels slower than advertised. How can I make it faster?
A likely reason for this is a virus scanner running in the background. An active virus scanner can significantly slow down file processes and cause XYplorer to become less responsive and slower to start.
Especially Windows Defender (Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) before Windows 8) can have a dramatic negative effect on speed.
