XYplorer 19.40 has been released on 20-Nov-2018. Here’s a quick introduction to the main new features:

• Archive Contents Preview
• Live Filter Box
• Hover Box Icon
• Hover Box Status

• Archive Contents Preview. Now you can preview the contents of archives just by hovering the file icon. No clicks required. Works for ZIP and, if WinRAR and/or 7-Zip is installed, for RAR, TAR, GZ, 7Z, and many other archive formats.

  The first thing you do is turn it on:

  • Go to Configuration F9 | Information | File Info Tips.
  • Tick "Show Hover Box".
  • Click the button "Select Item Types..." and ensure that "Archive Files" is ticked.
  • Click the button "Select Controls..." and ensure that "List" is ticked.
  
  

  Now hover an archive icon in the file list and you will see something like this:

  

  The Archive Contents Preview pops up when hovering an archive icon.

  So, you immediately see what you will get when you extract the archive, no need to open any archiver application, or external or internal viewer. No need even to click. Just smoothly move your mouse over the icon and you see what’s in the bag.

• Live Filter Box. Now you can choose the position of the Live Filter Box. Either it is shown right of the Address Bar, or in the left end of the Status Bar.

  Toggle the position here: Window | Arrangement | Live Filter Box in Status Bar.

• Hover Box Icon. Now you can toggle the visibility of the file icon in the status section of the Hover Box: Simply press key I.

• Hover Box Status. Now you can cycle the amount of information shown in the status section of the Hover Box: Simply press key S.

XYplorer 19.40.0100 has been released on 26-Nov-2018. Here’s a quick introduction to the main new features:

• Hover Box Size. Now you can scale the size of the image shown in the Hover Box. Simply press keys Numpad Add or Numpad Subtract.

  Hover Box scales in steps of 10 pixels, here are some examples:

  

  Hover Box image bounding box has 200x200 pixels.

  

  Hover Box image bounding box has 340x340 pixels.

  

  Hover Box image bounding box has 520x520 pixels.

• Minor bug fixes and enhancements.
